The Vapor X 2.9 is designed specifically for the performance level goalie who is on the ice from four to five hours a week. So for the player is playing at a high level, but who is looking to get great value out of their products. Built of the wildly popular X900 skate, the X 2.9 brings us a lot of new features. Like on all their present models, Bauer still incorporates their cowling system, to reduce space and overall weight. The Boot is made out of the all-new Tech Comp injected Quarter for better stability and better overall fit. The redefined Vapor fit gives us better ankle and foot wrap plus better depth on top of the foot. On the inside of the skate, Bauer used a new Hydro Max liner for better comfort and moisture management. Lastly, Bauer uses the Vertex edge goal holder with the quick-release system in combination with the LS 1G plus steel. This adds 4mm to the existing height of this price point.
