The X 2.9 is built for the competitive player who is on the ice 3 to 4 hours a week. In general, this type of player is looking for performance, comfort and elite-level features.
The all-new X 2.9 is built off the PerfromFlex comfort and performance system. This consists of 3D lasted Tech Mesh Quarter. Thousands of pro players around the globe use this Tech Mesh Quarter. It's extremely supportive, but also extremely thermal formable, giving the player maximum performance.
They used a pro-style 48-ounce felt tongue with an exposed injected metatarsal guard, fro comfort, protection, and flexibility.
On the inside, they added a lot of new comfort features starting with the all-new Aero Foam technology. This adds comfort, but also better thermal forming properties. On top of the Aero Foam, we have the hydrophobic microfiber liner. this adds more comfort and a nice soft feel + moisture-management properties.
Foam has been added underneath the FormFit plus footbed, which offers more step-in comfort. They added a lot of value by incorporating the Comfort Edge Padding, to give you each player more comfort on every stride. Lastly, the LS1 offers durability and high polish for more glide.
